For the dance week of Monday, May 14 – Saturday, May 19:

Dolls, DVD’s, and flowers are still for sale. Grab an order form in the office or lobbies.

Next week is the last week for regular classes. Any tickets not picked up by Saturday, May 26 will be “will call” at Transy. Tickets for any non-sold-out recital performance will be for sale at dress rehearsals for $11 and recitals for $15.

RECITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Cherish your dancer’s recital memories for years to come with Terri Behrens Photography. These professional photos are of highest-quality and make fantastic gifts for family members or friends. Recital costume photos will be made at each dress rehearsal. In-studio portrait sessions will be held on Friday, May 11, 5:30 – 7:30 pm and Saturday, May 13, 12:00 – 5:00 pm.

PARENT/DANCER WORKSHOP

To celebrate our 20th Year Anniversary, GDS is offering one of our most popular workshops, back by popular demand! Each dancer will perform a simple group routine onstage with a parent. We will wear “do-it-yourself” costumes in each recital. Please make you own “hobo” outfits. Join us at the studio on April 29 (2-3 pm), May 4 (4-5 pm), May 13 (2-3 pm), and May 25 (4-5 pm). Submit payment to the office of $10 per workshop or $35 for all workshops.

ALUMNI WORKSHOP

All former students and teachers are invited to participate in our 20th Year Anniversary Alumni Workshop! We will perform a number at the recitals wearing a “do-it-yourself” costume. Please purchase an old suit at Goodwill. Join us at the studio on May 4 (5-6 pm), May 9 (7:15-8:15 pm), May 13 (3-4 pm), May 23 (7:15-8:15 pm), and May 25 (5-6 pm). Submit payment to the office of $10 per workshop or $35 for all workshops.

FINALE

All dancers are invited to participate in our finale number at the end of each recital! This fun routine is taught in classes during the months of April and May. All participating dancers must wear an official 2012 recital t-shirt and black shorts, capris, or pants. These shirts are available for purchase in the office for $16 each in youth and adult sizes.

Recital Costumes!

Teachers began measuring for recital costumes in November. Our first order was placed in December for the June recitals. The show will be lots of fun for all…don’t miss out!

Each $50 costume deposit (due November 15) and $25 costume balance (due February 15) must be paid before any costume can be picked up. This fee includes a costume of highest quality, tights, accessories, props, and alterations as needed. Costumes are delivered to dancers on hangers.

Photos of every class’ costumes are posted in our office.

Recital Tickets

Recital information will be sent home with your dancer during the last week of March.

Tickets are purchased by mail order only; no orders can be taken at the studio or in the office. All ticket information and an order form will be included in the information packet your dancer will receive.
